Suomessa sarja alkoi 08.01.2014.

Spinoff sarja Vikings Valhalla löytyy Netflix -palvelusta.

Sarjan tapahtumat alkaa vuodesta 793, kun luostari ryöstetään. Ragnar Lothbrok johtaa pahamaineisia ja brutaaleja viikinkitaistelijoita kohti tuntematonta maata ja sen asukkeja. Elämä ei ole helppoa kun kaikki juonivat toisiaan vastaan eikä kehenkään voi luottaa.
